沙漏法师之巨龙之龙被延误的的故事
开始的时候，我记得沙漏法师之巨龙是2008年7月出版，我2007年就在Amazon预订了，然后到了7月第一天，Amazon开始就说Out of order，我还以为因为书迷太热情，结果预定就把所有出版的都买完了。等了一个月还是没货，我就忍不住了。去网上搜索相关资料。结果就有了这个一波三折的故事
Jan 07 2008在dragonlance论坛讨论新书的时候，有个人说沙漏法师之巨龙的封面不错。然后Margaret回贴了[龙枪系列的主要作者]

My, my! That's news to me. Especially as Cyan Bloodbane isn't going to be in the book. I wonder who's writing this book? Not me or Tracy.

我忍不住要骂人！沙漏法师之巨龙是龙枪系列，龙枪失落的传奇最后一本。看名字就知道了，讲的是雷斯林从血海逃走到传上黑袍发生的事情。这本书可以算是龙枪失落的传奇三部曲最让人期待的一部，也是我最想看的故事。而他妈的WotC竟然把这本书取消了！
是不是因为4E的发布，所以这样了，WotC的猪没事发布什么4E亚，一个苍蝇坏了一锅粥。

It's late here in my home but this thread caught my eye (for obvious reasons) and I thought I might take a moment to respond.
First of all, thank you all for being here. I know you have gathered here out of your mutual love for this world, this story and this dream that we all share.
Secondly, I have always found it slightly jarring to read other people talking about me as though I weren't here. Of course, you could not KNOW that I would ever visit this forum or read this thread (or all the other threads for that matter). But it all occasionally feels like eavesdropping. So, if I might, I'd like to put in an appearance here and answer some of the questions raised.
* We have not so much abandoned Dragonlance as Wizards appears to have abandoned us. Margaret acquired the rights to do Dragonlance game product at a time when Wizards of the Coast considered it a dead license. She then took it and turned it into something both wonderful and viable as a license once again. When Margaret went to renew her license, she was informed by Wizards of the Coast that they would not be renewing but would instead be taking the license back because now, it seems, it had become a viable product line once again. History, it seems, is bent on repeating itself ... does anyone remember Saga system?
* We do, indeed, intent to write the third book in the Lost Chronicles series -- Dragons of the Hourglass Mage and are even now planning on doing so this year. It has always been our intention to write this book despite a number of unforeseen obstacles that presented themselves. And, as James has pointed out, I still have an entire series to finish championing new writers in Dragonlance.
* Finally, it is my personal hope that should the opportunity to do a second film present itself, that Margaret and I will be involved to a far greater extent and, in doing so, be able to represent your concerns over this first film -- particularly with regard to the structure of the plot and the quality of the animation.
Film is a cooperative medium requiring a large group of people to work together. I like to think that the limited extent to which Margaret and I were able to influence this film made it in some measure better than it might otherwise have been.
I am a man of hope; and if the powers that rule such things will allow, I'll do what I can to make each succeeding Dragonlance film stronger than those before it.
And, for what it is worth -- you should always feel free to ask me any honest question. You'll get an honest answer in return.

No, the book has not yet been started. Tracy and I are writing the first book in our new series, Dragonships, for Tor. WoTC is well aware of this. I have no idea why they still permit the book to be listed on Amazon.
As for why we chose to delay our final book for Dragonlance, there are reasons, but I can't go into them. We made the decision with regret, however, because we knew our fans would be disappointed.

Margaret and I have talked about this and are both deeply hurt and concerned. We don’t want our fans or book buyers to be mislead. To be clear, the book has not been turned in as yet by us.
Further, we were just informed that Wizards of the Coast is not allowing us to turn in the manuscript -- in other words they don’t even want to read it. We have seen the book being pre-sold as coming out in July with our names on it, but the plot described is not ours. If we haven’t turned it in and they are refusing now to accept or even look at the manuscript from us ... we are at a complete loss as to what to think.
It certainly both puzzling and upsetting.
