Bethesda宣布辐射新作

Bethesda的副总Pete Hines今日在伦敦的新闻发布会上宣布，黑曜石工作室（Obsidian Entertainment）将为Bethesda代工一款辐射新作，名字叫《辐射：新维加斯》（Fallout New Vegas）：
“它不是《辐射3》的续作，只不过是另一款辐射作品，有着不同的世界观及设定。”
当然，它的RPG体验仍与《辐射3》类似，但与Todd Howard的《辐射3》团队无关，也不会对规划中的《辐射3》后继产品有任何影响。
该作将于2010年登陆PC、PS3，和Xbox 360平台。
补充一些背景资料：
黑曜石工作室手上另有一个项目——《阿尔法协议》，该项目首席设计师是Chris Avellone，他是ToddHoward的校友，但比后者更有辐射缘——Avellone曾为黑岛工作室效力了差不多八年之久，其中光是在《辐射3》项目上就花了至少三年——当然，是黑岛版的《辐射3》（Van Buren/范·布伦），险些临盆但拜Interplay一塌糊涂的管理所赐，最后仍胎死腹中。
所以，按这层关系来看，黑曜石的Chris Avellone比Bethesda的Todd Howard具备更纯正的辐射基因——如果这位黑岛旧将的功夫没有荒废的话，他最近完成的项目是《无冬之夜2》及资料片《叛逆者面具》。

我很憧憬，它应该比辐射3更接近前2作。

We’re just heard that Bethesda’s announced a new Fallout game - titled Fallout: New Vegas - at its London showcase.

Apparently it’s the same style of title as Fallout 3.

We’re waiting on more detail.

Which brings two interesting items:
1) A new game to buy instead of new DLC to buy? And we'll probably notice the difference, since...
2) Subcontracted Obsidian Entertainment - company responsible for suchtitles as Knights of the Old Republic 2, Neverwinter Nights 2 addonsStorm of Zehir and Mask of the Betrayer and the upcoming Alpha Protocol- is going to develop it? Does that mean we're not getting whatBethsoft does best any more? ;)

We'll be sticking our ears out to confirm this...

UPDATE: Kotaku has this one too, with a bit more info:[blockquote]Fallout New Vegas was announced moments ago during a Bethesda press conference in London.

The new game was revealed by Bethesda's Pete Hines who said thatthe publisher is working with Obsidian Entertainment on the title.

It will be coming out next year for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

"It is not a sequel to Fallout 3," Hines said. "It's simply another Fallout game in that universe."

It will be the same sort of role-playing game experience seen inFallot 3, he said. The game's official reveal, with more details and alook at the game down the line.

看在老天的份上，如果會採用Van Buren那些設計(改過的SPECIAL、技能、額外能力)，要我跪在地上對它磕十個響頭都不成問題....
既然是Obsidian Entertainment這個由前BIS和Interplay有參與Fallout製作的人所組成的工作室開發，我希望再度看到等角視點和回合制戰鬥，當然最重要的還是設定和劇情寫作了....應該不會像Bethesda那樣差吧。總之New Vegas看來是值得期待的....
